ABSTRACT This work search to discuss, in the context of the present time of the concept of Cultural Industry, the conditions of possibility of a Critical Theory of the Education. The emancipation idea, while resistance to the forms of effective dominance has been guiding Jürgen Habermas theoretical studies, in the search of a Critical Theory of the society that produces a diagnosis of the present time and point emancipation perspectives. For Habermas, that is an unfinished project which needs to be rebuilt in the extent of a new theoretical paradigm in that the emancipation is inherent to the communication processes. The conclusion indicates that the Theory of Acting Communicative supplies the theoretical elements for us to think the conditions of possibility of a Critical Theory of the Education.
