This article analyzes one passage of the commentary of Grosseteste on Aristotle's Physics and two passages of the commentary on Posterior Analytics. It is intended to establish how Grosseteste understands the disciplines of the tipe of optics, harmonics, astronomy and mechanics, mentioned by Aristotle. Grosseteste introduces some elements that are not included in Aristotle's text, which will become common subsequently.
