In Vico, the cyclical theory is adapted to a theory ofprogress. Plato and Polybe present different cyclical theories, and both are reference to the Vico's theory ofthe history. Platoisoneofthesourcesdeclaredforrefectionontheearlytimes. Polybe is important for explaining the human causes contributing to the advent of recurrence in history.
