Abstract

The article provides a criticism the philosophical and pedagogical option of the High School Curriculum Orientations developed by the Brazilian Ministry of Education. Embedded in the document is a specialized learning of philosophy, which emphasizes the technique of reading classical texts of the History of Philosophy. While we should value the exegesis of classical texts, that conceptual-axis contributes to an extensive thematic content that is contrary to a democratic paradigm of understanding the philosophical specificity as a "cultural discipline", characterized by "styles of interrogation" and that would be more consistent with the teaching of philosophy in the secondary level of education.
