Abstract

In this article, I create a dialogue with authors, trying to show the theoretical and methodological considerations contained in my doctoral thesis, entitled, be and making yourself a teacher in Piauí in the twentieth century: the life story of Nevinha Santos produced for the Post-graduate Program in Education, Doctorate in Education course, University of Uberlândia. I belive theories are analysis tools for the Nevinha Santos, teachers history of becoming a teacher, her experiences and the of others at the same his time. Thus, I show the authors, the main concepts that were chosen and how I realize it. Initially, I look for a historical studies focusing attention on the new history, on the theoretical analysis chosen, then I examine the perceptions about the life history, oral history, memory and experience.
