Vico's autobiography as present as a very rich text on intellectual motivations and as a real work instrument from which redraw knowledge not only of an era, of the Neapolitan philosopher, but also to answer the new culture needs in a society, like ours, always more needy for certainties and intellectual stimuli. However it must be said that the recovery of certain issues in contemporary age does not intend to show another ahistorical primacy and/or anticipation proposal, not want to mark Vico's "nonexistent" presence, but intends to emphasize as the issues addressed by the New Science philosopher remain still at the center of the cultural debate of the twentieth century. It's about to document the richness of the text to the large number of multidisciplinary themes, to select conceptual nuclei that allow the Vico research, and not only, to trace a "reticular" pathway between areas of knowledge seemingly distant: the question of the method, the debate about hermeneutics, the idea of law and the notion of time.
