Abstract

Analyzes the fundamental interpretations of psychologists and educators Cuban supporters -from the cultural historical approach- of more tradition in these studies, about the education that best promotes personality development. This particular way of understanding and practicing the cultural historical approach that distinguishes them, dating from the sixties, finds its roots in the history of Cuban thinking and the demands of the current socio-cultural and economic development at this country. They stress on the one hand, the general requirements, which in the opinion of these authors and their research practice, education must meet to effectively lead this development. In this part, a very important essay, is valued as a platform for innovation and reform in education from the mentioned point of view. On the other hand, general development indicators arise consistent with the experience of Cuban professionals, pointed out before. All conclusions are intrinsically jointed. Finally, this Cuban experience is characterized in some issues.
