The preschool age is an essential stage for psychological development. During this age new formations appear, such as preparation for school. For the proper development of such aspects, the child should be involved in the principal activity of the age, which is activity of role thematic playing. The present study involved 9 preschool children between 3 and 5 years of age. The children were involved in original formative program for development of thematic roles playing with symbolic component. All children were tested by the protocol "Evaluation of the child's readiness for school" before and after the implementation of the program. Among such parameter were acceptance of the role by the child. The final assessment showed significant improvements in all these parameters. It is concluded that the use of thematic game with symbolic component favors the psychological development of preschool children, ensuring the emergence of new formations of the age.
