My purpose in this article is to know if the Bildung in its Hegelian hue, can still be a valid tender and provider of values that are capable to enable an alternative to problems of the educational context. That's because the ideal of Bildung in Hegel does not let not be marked by the hope of a progress, an improvement that some cast off because they can not take it as something effective, achievable or realizable, besides to establish a formative need which constrains individuals a specific kind of training. From a pedagogical reading of Hegel's work I intend to introduce elements that still make his formative proposal valid in the contemporary society, rebutting some criticism regarding its viability
