This paper is part of discussions about the teaching of Philosophy. It is intended, from a Foucaultian inspiration, to analyze the conditions of emergence of the discourse on the importance of Philosophy in the entrance examinations for the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and the implications of teaching Philosophy as a technology of government.
