Abstract

STARZYńSKI, Wojciech. Erotic love as a paradigm of the experience of the other: Michel Henry and Jean-Luc Marion. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2016, vol.30, suppl., pp.169-185. ISSN 1982-596x.  https://doi.org/10.14393/REVEDFIL.issn.0102-6801.v30nEspeciala2016-p169-185.

The text deals with the theme of erotic love in its implications with the classic question of Phenomenology, which is that of the other. In a fi rst step, taking the notes of the youth Michel Henry as a basis, we reconstruct his own position on the problem. After that, we relate the hypotheses of Henry with the thought of the erotic phenomenon developed by Jean-Luc Marion. In following, we uphold that for the two philosophers, Eros is thought of as an interweaving of two fl eshes lived subjectively by each one, that such an experience leads to a certain thought of God, that thought of erotic love in a univocal manner also refers to the fi gures of the child and the friend.

Keywords : Eros; Erotic Love; The Other; Flesh; Fruition; Friendship.
