Abstract

MAZZOTTI, Tarso Bonilha. Towards a theory of social action. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2016, vol.30, suppl., pp.313-328. ISSN 1982-596x.  https://doi.org/10.14393/REVEDFIL.issn.0102-6801.v30nEspeciala2016-p313a328.

The objective of this work is to explicit means that allow to constitute a theory of social action that presents a plausible and verifiable explanation of the beliefs that sustains it.We will examine initially the opposition between arguments of scientists and non-scientists to show that in both cases the a priori can produce mistakes. Then we present the hypothesis that the commonplaces are analogous to the a priori of the Simmel/Boudon model as well as to the embodied schemata in the definition of Lakoff and Johnson. The metaphors are nor the only scheme to say the real, since the metonymy and the dissociation of notions are also used and the validity can be established by the negotiation of meanings in rhetorical and dialectical situations. Finally, we expose the three circumstances that determine the technique to say the real: the rhetorical, the dialectical and the teaching or the situated argumentative procedures.

Keywords : Theory of Social Action; Implicit Assumptions; Simmel/Boudon Model.
