One of the large discussions that have been the target of constant aca demic debates in the humanities, concerning the study of scientific methodology, is the predominance of the qualitative approach under the quantitative. Conside ring this fact, the aim of this study is to analyze the quanti-qualitative approach, emphasizing their applications in the educational field. The paper presents the differences between quantitative and qualitative approaches and then the analy sis of the debate of the literature of the area, which advocates the convergence of both approaches as an alternative to be followed in the human sciences, ex ceeding the quantitative-qualitative dichotomy. This defense is guided on the understanding that the qualitative and quantitative complement each other and can be used in conjunction in the researches, enabling better contribution to un derstand the educational phenomena investigated, that ever more are presented from multiple facets.
