Abstract

BOCCA, Francisco Verardi  and  OLIVEIRA, Odisséa Boaventura de. Rapport au savoir in the psychoanalytic perspective. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2017, vol.31, n.61, pp.491-515. ISSN 1982-596x.  https://doi.org/10.14393/REVEDFIL.issn.0102-6801.v31n61a2017-p491a515.

This article aims to present the French notion of rapport au savoir (relationship to knowledge) which was developed by Jacky Beillerot, based on the freudian theory of psychoanalysis that has the “desire for knowledge” as its fundamental concept, built within the infantile sexuality and within the family and school expectations. It is a perspective that allows reflection upon the role of school and family when separating the possibility of learning as a manifestation of epistemophilia (knowledge of oneself) from the possibility of learning as a tool for social success (external knowledge). Beillerot advocates a creative process that integrates all kinds of knowledge, that parts from a particular condition or interest, unique and unrepeatable, but then demands a social condition, the other as enabler agent of achieving the desire for knowledge, which establishes educating as an act of fellowship (allowing knowledge) rather than monitoring (must do), occasioning a relationship with knowledge as a relation between desiring subjects.

Keywords : Education; Psychoanalysis; Desire; Knowledge; Desire for Knowledge.
