Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2017, vol.31, n.62, pp.751-781.  Epub Mar 09, 2021. ISSN 1982-596X.  https://doi.org/10.14393/revedfil.issn.0102-6801.v31n62a2017-p751a781.

This article aims to address the concepts of dialogue, alterity and ethical action in the works of Martin Buber, Mikhail Bakhtin and Paulo Freire and discuss their important contributions to the Education. At the risk of making thinkers from different places and times converse, the text bets on the similarities between these authors of the philosophy of dialogue, who have lived the experience of exile and political and religious persecution and thus gave new meanings to the topics of meeting, listening and responsibility.

Keywords : Dialogue; Alterity; Ethical action; Philosophy of dialogue.
