Abstract

MOREAU, Didier. Difference and disidentification: towards a theory of educational emancipation. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2017, vol.31, n.63, pp.1475-1495.  Epub Mar 09, 2021. ISSN 1982-596X.  https://doi.org/10.14393/revedfil.issn.0102-6801.v31n63a2017-09.

This paper considers the status of the difference in education and refutes the dilemma between universalism and particularism. The basis of a theory of educational emancipation are grounded on the process of disidentification. The research looks at the ontological difference in the Heidegger’s writings, and suggests an interpretation of a Grimm’s fairy tale as an educative enigma. The question of equality is the focus of the problem of difference, and the works of Jacques Rancière are chosen as the way to think about it in education as well in politics. The pedagogic area is analysed as an open topos where the process of “créolisation”, according to the Edouard Glissant’s concept, make the difference as a liberating experience which consists in a practice of the self.
