SOUZA, Thana Mara de. Of the irreducibility and of the inseparability between perception and imagination in Sartre. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2018, vol.32, n.64, pp.311-338.  Epub 20-Set-2020. ISSN 1982-596X.  https://doi.org/10.14393/revedfil.issn.0102-6801.v32n64a2018-15.

We intend to show, in this article, how is the relationship between perception and imagination in the philosophy of Sartre from his early works, especially The Imagination and The Imaginary. We will see how the starting point - the irreducibility of consciousness, which leads to the radical separation between perception and imagination; leads the author to the conclusion of dynamic inseparability between them. Far from being a contradiction, the Sartrean thought points to a tension between the terms and to the maintenance of static and law aspects and at the same time, of the dynamic and in fact aspects; without one nullify another one.

Palavras-chave : Sartre; Perception; Imagination; Tension.
