Abstract

WEIDUSCHADT, Patrícia; THUM, Carmo  and  THIES, Vania Grim. Local culture and interface with memory among pomeranians in Serra dos Tapes, state of Rio Grande do Sul. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2018, vol.32, n.65, pp.493-526.  Epub Sep 21, 2020. ISSN 1982-596X.  https://doi.org/10.14393/revedfil.issn.0102-6801.v32n65a2018-03.

This paper aims to understand the local culture of Pomeranians through the analysis of thematic blocks derived from dialogue circle methodology. With actions coordinated through extension and research programs, data were collected in the communities of the southern region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, specifically in the municipalities of Canguçu and São Lourenço do Sul. Through educational training of two municipal schools, it was possible to build six thematic blocks, two analyzed in this paper: the customs represented by festivities and the world of education (home, school and church). This work, anchored in the concepts of memory (HALBWACHS, 1990; BOSI, 1987; CANDAU, 2014) and field (BOURDIEU 1996), allowed to infer that the memory of Pomeranians is collectively constructed and that the religious field, both official and popular (Brandão, 2004), guided different cultural expressions of these people.

Keywords : Memory; Pomeranians; Dialogue circle; Local culture.
