Abstract

GALLO, Sílvio. René Schérer and Philosophy of Education: first approaches. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2018, vol.32, n.65, pp.793-815.  Epub Sep 21, 2020. ISSN 1982-596X.  https://doi.org/10.14393/revedfil.issn.0102-6801.v32n65a2018-14.

This article makes a “flyover” (in the Deleuze and Guattari’s conceptual sense) on the work of contemporary French philosopher René Schérer in order to look for the traces of a Philosophy of Education. Elects three axes or pivots on the heterogeneity of his work: the questioning of children; the hospitality as a political principle; Anarchism as a mark of an open mind, a rebellious and innovative thinking, and draws the contours of a Philosophy of Education. It introduces the notion of “pedagogical device”, which promotes an infantilization of children. Against this process, the philosopher proposes a “major childhood”, which states itself without guardianships. A Philosophy of Education thought this context can only be taken as openness, expression of a wandering and anarchic thought, unprincipled (with no foundations) and without transcendence. The proposal of an education that is not pure driving, but a “walk together” with the children.

Keywords : Philosophy of Education; René Schérer; Pedagogical device; Childhood; Becoming-child.
