Abstract

PEREIRA, Nilton Mullet  and  PAIM, Elison Antonio. To think the history teaching and the sensible pasts: contributions of the decolonial thinking. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2018, vol.32, n.66, pp.1229-1253.  Epub Sep 22, 2020. ISSN 1982-596X.  https://doi.org/10.14393/revedfil.issn.0102-6801.v32n66a2018-11.

This paper problematizes the History teaching, through the Decoloniality perspective, considering specifically the role of the so called sensible questions as a manner to redefine the way of representing the temporality and the role of History teaching in the process of social and political resistance. Expliciting some concepts used by the decolonial thinkers, specially Anibal Quijano, the paper turns itself in questioning the euro centrism and the colonization process that the Latin America is subjected and its effects in the educational field. From this perspective we consider the educational field in general, and the History teaching in particular, as places from where the coloniality could be put in check, through a process of decolonization of the time and the how to teach History, emphasizing the ethical and esthetical aspects of teaching.

Keywords : History teaching; Decoloniality; Ethic.
