Abstract

LIMA, Ana Laura Godinho. Authors and ways of entering the discourse: an examination based on developmental psychology. Educação e Filosofia [online]. 2019, vol.33, n.67, pp.109-140.  Epub Aug 30, 2021. ISSN 1982-596X.  https://doi.org/10.14393/revedfil.v33n67a2019-47900.

The article refers to Michel Foucault's writings on discourse analysis to characterize the requirements that intellectuals should accomplish when entering a discursive formation. It examines the conditions required to occupy the position of subject of the utterance, as well as the rules underlying the formation of objects, concepts and the choice of theories and themes, which both allow and restrict the possibilities of the formation of statements. The analysis focuses specifically on the discourses of psychology designed for teacher training, investigating the hypothesis that, in the first half of the 20th century, the theme of development dealt with in the context of recapitulation theory constituted a recurrent strategy for the formulation of statements recognized as true.

Keywords : Speech analysis; Teacher training; Educational psychology; Foucaultian studies; Textbooks.
