Abstract

BARROS, Renato Cassio Soares de. Teacher training in human rights and the advent of Law n°13.010/2014. Rev. Elet. Educ. [online]. 2016, vol.10, n.2, pp.50-60. ISSN 1982-7199.  https://doi.org/10.14244/198271991302.

This article aims to develop reflections concerning the Law 13.010 of 06/26/2014, which amends Law 9.394, of December 20, 1996, adding paragraph 9 to article 26, in which it imposes on curriculum of childhood education, elementary schooland high school, content related to human rights and to the prevention of all forms of violence against children and teenagers in Brazil. In a critical approach, Law is presented as a conservation tool of certain type of society, but as far as possible the citizen should resort to the own Law to refuse offenses and to claim respect and better living conditions. Therefore, in the teaching and learning process, the teacher should not be limited to legal rules and doctrines, opening, in this way, the way for reflection and social transformation that ensure emancipation.
