This article aims to analyze the relationship between educational administration and teacher training in the youth and adult education on the Matina city, Bahia State, Brazil. The research was based on a qualitative approach to design in the case study. For data collection, we employed the documents analysis, observation and semi-structured interviews with teachers and students of three schools that offers EJA on the Matina town.

Data processing was impossible, thanks to the content analysis tool. As a result, it was found that the municipal adult education management presents also a precarious way, which implies difficult working conditions and training, compromising the education offered to the local community. There was also a close relationship between education management and training adult education teachers, which points to the need for financial investment, material and teaching within the educational improvement and school management processes, and consequently in improving and ensuring the EJA training processes.
