In 2008, the National Policy on Special Education in the Perspective of Inclusive Education has, through its guidelines, the proposal of the Specialized Educational Service, whose task was to identify, prepare, organize learning resources and accessibility, eliminating the barriers to the full participation of students towards their specific needs, should complement and / or supplement the training of students, and the activities performed by this service can’t replace the school. Thus, this study aimed to achieve mapping studies presented in the Brazilian Congress of Special Education in the years 2012 and 2014 involving the themes of Teachers Formation and Educational Policies related to Specialized Educational Service. A search was done in the annals of congress with the words “Specialized Educational Service” on the title, abstract and keywords. Thus, in 2012 were found 11 works about Teachers Formation + Specialized Education Service and 5 papers about Educational Policies + Specialized Education Service. In the year 2014, there were 8 papers about Teachers Formation + Specialized Education Service; and only 3 works about Educational Policies + Specialized Education Service. After the analysis of the selected works, the main results found in the studies point out, in their majority, to the necessity of bigger investments in the basic academic background as well as in the continuous academic background.
