The article presents a subsection of the research entitled “Education of ethnic-racial relations: limits and possibilities in the Pedagogy course of UFSCar” (CARDOSO, 2016) defended in the Master Program of the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil. In 2017, fourteen years after the passing of Law 10.639 / 2003, which determined the obligation to teach African and Afro-Brazilian History and Culture at all levels of education. In reference to this legal framework, we are interested in identifying which scientific research were produced in the Program of the UFSCar on this theme? In this paper, we seek to answer this question by projecting the academic research of UFSCar, during 2003 to 2015, in this program. Identifying the impact of racial themes on academic research and presenting a research tool on education of ethnic-racial relations to support stages of research, mainly students who are beginning to elaborate Course Completion Research and other research projects. We indicated a relavant index of racial Research theme, however we assume that the PPG doesn’t present itself as a reference program about this theme, the search for graduate studies in the field of ethinic-racial relations is more linked to the neab’s professors.
