This article aims to discuss racism in the educational context as an ethical and political issue, whose overcoming presupposes new paradigms in school practices, such as critical intercultural education, that allows the affirmation of the subject, the construction of black identity and the understanding that racism is a human rights problem. The methodology consists of a bibliographical research. It is exposed, also in the article, the overcoming of racism through political commitment to the process of social democratization, with the experience of new dialogical educational practices and solidarity.
