Abstract

HANDFAS, Anita  and  MACAIRA, Julia Polessa. Linkage between university and public school: the case of lato sensu postgraduate course at UFRJ teaching Sociology. Rev. Elet. Educ. [online]. 2017, vol.11, n.2, pp.653-666. ISSN 1982-7199.  https://doi.org/10.14244/198271991884.

The objective of this article is to discuss the continuing education of teachers, based on the experience of the post-graduation course - specialization in teaching sociology at the School of UFRJ Education. To achieve this goal and relying on notions of field and habitus of Pierre Bourdieu, interviews were conducted, questionnaires and considered the data coordinating the evaluation of the course, to understand the impacts caused by the transit of teachers between university courses and from school. Among the conclusions, we point out that for a considerable part of the course students is the real possibility of resumption of academic training that was largely abandoned by the contingency of teaching in school. The analyzed data reaffirm the design of the Specialization Course Knowledge and Practices in Basic Education - CESPEB, whose principles are based on the relationship between university and public school.
