Abstract

RICCONO, Guido  and  NAIDORF, Judith. The University of Buenos Aires during the Peronist years: images, myths, truths and post-truths. Rev. Elet. Educ. [online]. 2017, vol.11, n.3, pp.770-788. ISSN 1982-7199.  https://doi.org/10.14244/198271992483.

This is an academic study of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) during Peronism with the specific interest in demystifying its history. Since the 1940s ideas have been constructed of its functioning that do not coincide with the sources collected nor with the academic data about the period. Thus, a history of the UBA was built based on imprecise data and images constructed during and after the government of Juan Domingo Perón from the years 1946-1955 in which the mediocrity of the institution product of its intellectual emptying and the loss of its autonomy. Here we will trace the main origins of these mystifications and we will include them within the concept of post-truth, to show this characteristic in the first and second government of Perón.
