Abstract

ALMEIDA, Alexandre Nascimento de. Determinants of the graduates situation from the environmental management by University of Brasilia - UnB. Rev. Elet. Educ. [online]. 2017, vol.11, n.3, pp.862-875. ISSN 1982-7199.  https://doi.org/10.14244/198271991728.

Although enrollment in the last decade in higher education has doubled, productivity recorded by workers in Brazil remained stable, suggesting a low effectiveness of the knowledge acquired by Brazil universities. The University of Brasilia (UnB) has expanded its number of vacancies through the creation of new campuses on the periphery of Brasilia city, for example, the creation of the UnB Faculty of Planaltina (FUP). The FUP was opened in 2006 and offers courses of the Agribusiness Management, Environmental Management, Degree in Natural Sciences and Rural Education. The Environmental Management course (EM) of FUP is new and untraditional, raising the importance of evaluation. Thus, the study aimed to analyze the influence of the academic activities from EM course at employability of its egress, as well as, the interference of these activities in the decision of the former student continue your study. To this end, questionnaires were given to the egress from the EM course of FUP, reaching a sample of 44 forms returned. Among the results highlighted the positive influence of professional internship for the insertion of graduates in the labor market and scientific research activities in the continuity of their studies. Extension activities do not contribute significantly to employment and neither to the continuation of studies by the egress analyzed.
