Abstract

Based on best practices of a Physical Education teacher beginner, this article aims to identify elements that contribute to a systematization of content in the early years of Elementary School and hence for teacher training. These practices result from clipping a Master’s Thesis in Education subsidized by the analysis axis “school subject”. The Master, whose objective was to know and understand the practices of the teacher and the sources that influence the construction of their knowledge, developed through a case study as a possibility of qualitative research with the use of semi-structured interviews, participant observation and document analysis. Also, the teacher and the two state schools of the State of São Paulo were characterized and the process of construction of the axes of analysis has been elucidated. The elements identified in axis “school subject” (which indicate “what”, “how” and “why” the teacher teaches), can contribute to a systematization of content in Physical Education classes in the early years and assist teachers Physical Education beginners. The best practices are based on a contextualized and interdisciplinary approach to teaching, resignify to student learning and have positive and negative aspects identified by the teacher as patterns to understand the obstacles and their problems relating to its practical, theoretical decisions and teacher training. Therefore promote an understanding of the learning acquired at the beginning of his career, reflections on public policy teacher training and new dialogues about the possibility of development of good practice for Physical Education teachers.
