Abstract

SIQUEIRA, Silvia de  and  BRITTES, Leticia Ramalho. Pedagogical discourse production in a dialogic perspective. Rev. Elet. Educ. [online]. 2018, vol.12, n.1, pp.20-29. ISSN 1982-7199.  https://doi.org/10.14244/198271991890.

This study aims at discuss on how some aspects of classical rhetoric may influence in the pedagogical discourse production in class, reproducing some patterns of traditional and conservative conceptions of education, which can be considered, according to Freire, a kind of “banking” education. From this, we are searching to propose a reinterpretation of this discourse according to a discursive perspective of language. It is a qualitative study based on bibliographic method. Therefore it intends to mention some contributions from Bakhtin discursive theory to the modern teachers’ pedagogical discourse production. Before that, an overview will be presented based on previous discussions related to the discourse, emphasizing certain aspects of two of the most relevant moments in the language studies: the philosophy of the Greek language, with its rhetorical notion of language and, historically later, the Marxist philosophy founded by Bakhtin, focusing on the language in its social aspect to the detriment of the study of language as linguistic code. Based on the work done, it´s highlighted the need to reframe the production of pedagogical discourse of teachers so that the production of knowledge through dialogical relationship between students and teachers can occur.
