Abstract

This paper presents the alternate pedagogy of a school located in the interior of the Sao Paulo State (Brazil), as part of the data of a masters’ research. The schools’ framework is based on Project Based Learning and its curriculum is organized on Multiple Intelligences. The framework is also supported by both the Brazilian National Curricular Parameters and the Sao Paulo State Curriculum, regarding school levels. Besides the theoretical issues, there is an exposition of an experience by the mathematics teacher and students of the 6th grade when developing a Project around the theme “From machine to cyborg” that exemplifies the pedagogical proposal of said school.
