This study analyzes data from a questionnaire that was responded by 1060 families about the usage that children who live in different neighborhoods in Curitiba made in the neighborhood they lived and in the city. In order to analyze this data, authors from social sciences (Elias, Lahire), urban sociology, childhood and others were used. It was observed that children who live in the northern and central regions socialized more in consolidated leisure and cultural spaces, did more activities focused on the school manner of socialization and did elitist sport activities and spiritual ones as well. On the other hand, southern and extreme southern region children did more activities close to a civic, moral and religious framing and did more sport activities connected to personal defense. It is possible to conclude that the neighborhood and the city also contribute in the socialization processes influencing on the creation of webs of interdependence that may be both more and less varied, elastic and mobile from the spatial view.
