MAGALHAES JUNIOR, Antonio Germano  and  VARELA, Sarah Bezerra Luna. The myth of the Pedagogical Ruralism - its implementation in rites experienced in the Rural Normal School of Juazeiro do Norte. Cad. Hist. Educ. [online]. 2016, vol.15, n.2, pp.614-633. ISSN 1982-7806.  https://doi.org/10.14393/che-v15n2-2016-9.

The study about the Rural Normal School of Juazeiro do Norte (ENRJN), whose time frame was the years 1934 to 1939, aims to establish the relationship between myth, experienced the rites and practices associated with the concept of Pedagogical Ruralism. The theoretical and methodological framework is based both on the relationship between myth and reality according to Roland Barthes and Mircea Eliade as well as from the perspective of micro-history, based on Carlo Ginzburg. Thus, it is understood ENRJN have formulated a way to deal with the ideal of Pedagogical Ruralism, going beyond aspects of training and constituting it a myth, through the elaborate discourses and practices experienced.
