This article presents partial research results that aim to investigate the history of institutionalization of regional normal education in the municipality of Cianorte-PR between the years of 1957 and 1964. The time frame covers the opening and closing marks of the institution's activities. The significant document collection found and the finding of an emerging education historians movement to safeguard school documents enabled the implementation of an inventory of sources, which, in addition to offer subsidy for this and other research, contributes to the safeguarding of school documentary heritage of the city of Cianorte. In this sense, we characterize the context of implementation of the Normal Regional Silva Jardim School - ENRSJ - identifying aspects of cultural school materials and the way the subjects manifested themselves in the social fabric, showing the collaboration of the institution’s faculty and students.
