This article discusses the appropriation of the work Verdadeiro metodo de estudar of Luis Antonio Verney, in Latin America in the late eighteenth century is addressing the influence it had since the first edition. We'll see how his followers act decisively in several of the American educational proposals, the historical circumstances and applications resulting from its renowned readers in New Spain, New Granada and the Audiencia of Quito be indicated, establishing and emphasizing the parallels ideological in some personalities of the Creole Enlightenment, those plans and also highlighting local contributions.
