PINHO, Romana Valente. The Universalistic Education of Agostinho da Silva. Cad. Hist. Educ. [online]. 2017, vol.16, n.3, pp.818-831. ISSN 1982-7806.  https://doi.org/10.14393/che-v16n3-2017-16.

“The Universalistic Education of Agostinho da Silva” is a study focused on understanding the relevance of Silva’s educational and pedagogical thought for Portuguese and Brazilian contemporary Education. In 1944, when Agostinho da Silva pursued a self-exile in Brazil, he realized an intensive work based on the universalistic education idea. In this country, he fomented an educational and pedagogical action ever possible, at the same time, in Portugal. Therefore, we remember the University foundation (as well as University of Paraíba, University of Santa Catarina or University of Brasília) and the creation of study Center (for instance, Afro-eastern study Center - Salvador, Bahia - and Brazilian Center of Portuguese Studies, Brasília).
