This article aims to compare experiences on Religious Education (RE) in Sergipe and Pernambuco, using the methodology to Discourse Analysis. It is noteworthy that process the application of the provisions of article 33 of Law 9475 of July 22, 1997 in the school, specifically seeking to understand the point of view of the implementation of these devices, why the ER today, despite the new setting that prompts him good dealing with religious diversity without teaching catechesis, which implies tolerance, still has character proselytizing/ confessional with the presence of religious organizations in their educational practice.
