At school, the Science teacher is considered the person that has "knowledge" to discuss subjects related to sexuality. However, this teacher training does not address these subjects. This study aimed to analyze whether science teachers of municipal schools in Aracaju city that participating in the "Horas de Estudo" program would know how to act effectively when dealing with this theme. The data was collected through a questionnaire. The group researched presents difficulties with regard to how to act against the attacks on students were branded as homosexuals. This lead us to infer that there is need for training covering issues related to sexuality.
