Abstract

GASPARONI, Caroline Lisian; PIELKE, Luciane Rocha Ferreira  and  PASSOS, Luiz Augusto. Existential phenomenology: a method of analysis, an epistemology of the possibilities. Rev. Reflex [online]. 2019, vol.27, n.3, pp.208-219.  Epub Sep 30, 2025. ISSN 1982-9949.  https://doi.org/10.17058/rea.v27i3.11313.

This essay deals with Phenomenology as a methodological approach that articulates the engagement between existence and research practice. The discussion arises from the dialogue between two experiences: a Master's Dissertation and a Doctoral Thesis in Education [1]. Merleau-Ponty's Phenomenology requires a constant hermeneutic stance, respecting the constitution of the method in observation, analysis-interpretation and propositions. The merleaupontyana existential dialectic is considered radicalized in the (inter) relationships it establishes, in the perception of the polysemic reality that it assumes, without prescriptions, without syntheses; intentionality embodied in totalities; an epistemology of possibilities.

Keywords : Existential Phenomenology; Research (Des) Colonial; Phenomenological methodology..
