This article emerges from a theoretical approach used in a master's research of a Graduate Program in Education. It aims to establish relationships between Integral Education, Education on an extended journey, complex thinking, and the potential that the territories have for the individual/society/species development. From the discussions established in this work, we understand that formal educational institutions as one of the numerous educational spaces that create the territories, which are created by economic, social, political and cultural dimensions and contribute to the integral individual/ society/species development in its complexity.
