Abstract

FLORIDO MOSQUERA, Hugo Edilberto. Education for diversity and recognition of skills and provision of opportunities in school: A fundamental need for education for all. Ensino em Re-Vista [online]. 2019, vol.26, n.spe, pp.985-1012.  Epub Oct 10, 2023. ISSN 1983-1730.  https://doi.org/10.14393/er-v26nea2019-2.

In times of globalization, it is not too much to build education approaches based on law and the full recognition of the diversity of the human in the ways of doing, feeling, being and being in the world, derived from the diverse development trajectories. For this reason it is important to address education for diversity as an education for all, supported by a legal approach, providing the school with opportunities with reasonable adjustments that address diversity and capabilities. All of the above is supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), by stating in its objective of sustainable development 4 (SDG4) that education will be equitable, inclusive and of quality and will promote sufficient opportunities for all, of so that the learnings are for a lifetime. This article aims to show the link between education for diversity (education for all, equitable, inclusive and quality) and human capabilities. This idea is articulated with the opportunities that the school must provide so that the conquest of lifelong learning can be achieved in all communities, without detriment to their situation and / or their condition.
