The multi-modes in representation line research has been highlighted as an instruction instrument in the scientific education. From the concepts that justify a didactic procedure due to the multi-modes of representations, this paper tries to show that there is certain compatibili ty among these concepts with theories of the significant learning of Ausubel. The integrating concepts of Significant Learning Theory were related to the multi-modes line of representation by discussing its impor tance in all teaching-learning situations that occur in the classroom.
