The Internet and music are present in everyday life of most of the Brazilian population, but are still little explored as a tool for teaching biological concepts and popularization of science. This study is the result of a qualitative research developed in the Professional Master’s Program in Science Teaching at UTFPR. The aim of the study is to present an experiment of the use of music combined with web radio technology as a didactic tool in Biology education for public school students. First the students discussed concepts and topics in lyrics. Then, a live broadcast was conducted in a web radio program with voluntary participation of students to examine the catharsis and return to social practice.
