Abstract

MARANDINO;, Martha  and  IANELLI., Isabela Tacito. SCIENCE EDUCATION MODELS IN MUSEUMS: ANALYSIS OF GUIDED TOURS. Ens. Pesqui. Educ. Ciênc. [online]. 2012, vol.14, n.1, pp.17-33. ISSN 1983-2117.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1983-21172013140101.

The paper identifies science education models raised as references in gui de tours in two museums: Quinzinho de Barros Zoo/Sorocaba and the Zoology Mu- seum/USP/São Paulo. The research methodology was qualitative, from the collec tion and analysis of documents and interviews taken from Garcia (2006) and Martins (2006) Master's degree. Results point that the predominant science education model in both institutions is constructivist. In a lesser degree, rediscover, STS, traditional and technicist models were present. We do note, however, that in both institutions, as pects related to nearly every model are made evident. Such references raise queries about to what degree museums assume, in a consistent way, particular pedagogical conceptions in their educational activities.
