An aspect of social inclusion is the ability of the citizen to have the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge about science and its functioning. Scientific "divulgation" meetings are an important strategy on the perspective of scientific literacy. The present work aims to analyze an activity in which participants of a scientific "divulgation" meeting were invited to unveil the dynamics of a fictional crime prepared by criminal experts. Although not intended as such, it can be affirmed that the activity has made use of the methodology of interdisciplinary island of rationality proposed by Gerard Fourez. The methodological differences detected were consequences of inserting the activity in a scientific "divulgation"meeting.
