The present work has as its goal the research on the possible uses of Brazilian Popular Music by teachers of Natural Sciences and Biology, and it was undertook in basic education schools. The research was descriptive, field made, also mixing and using the questionnaire to collect data. Information obtained by the questionnaire showed that most teachers almost never or do not use at all, Brazilian Popular Music as a strategy for teaching Natural Sciences or Biology. The teacher's opinions were also heard and all these key factors that could contribute to those results were gathered, exploring all the reasons that can make teachers use or not this teaching strategy.
