Based on the experiences in a discipline which studies on Science, Technology and Society (STS) there was strong potential for some documentaries to promote discussion of these issues. The purpose of this paper is to present some documentary films and their features related to STS. In this way, this paper presents an informative approach and it becomes possible to aid teachers who want to discuss STS in their classes. The films described here are characterized as resources to promote critical thinking and civic attitude of the people and to encourage discussions / reflections among educators and trainers on the current reality and the triad STS, resulting in possible changes in school.
