The present study evaluates the impact of collaborative interventions at school environment by using the theme of promoting health care as a means of improving teaching. For that, a collaborative action research was employed as the main methodological framework. Data analysis showed that collaborative interventions developed more cognitive and motivational changes than in teaching practices. We find evidences that teachers have difficulties in modifying their teaching practices for not being prepared to experience a deeper and safely change and for being too tied to pedagogical routines required by the education system. However, the research found changes in concepts and ideas to witch new knowledge was incorporated reassigned and demystified.
