Abstract

This research conducted from 2009 to 2013 aimed to investigate how science teachers of the public school's state system in São Paulo reacted to the implementation of a new curriculum proposal for elementary school. We adopted a qualitative approach in the research development, conducting semi-structured interviews analyzed from the content analysis perspective, trying to give voice to the curriculum´s agents, and from Sacristan's ideas, particularly regarding relationship between formal curriculum and teachers' actions. In this article, teachers' reactionstothe new proposal are presented and their positions are analyzed, beingfavorable; unfavorable; orpragmatic.
